NOVA NEWS - July 3rd, 2020

Hello NOVA MEMBERS! It’s been a month since reopening and we can’t thank you enough for your support. We missed your smiles! And welcome new members to our NOVA COMMUNITY!

With that, comes lots of exciting news! We’ve heard your feedback and are pleased to announce THREE new classes to our already expanded schedule at NOVA OAK CREEK.

Starting TODAY, JULY 3rd, join Coach Scott Shockley for Adult Brazilian Jiu Jitsu “Study Hall Night” 6:30-7:30pm each Friday. You bring the techniques you want to work on, go over drills you were not able to during the week, and review techniques you feel are good for your game. Last 15-20 minutes of class is learning and performing tournament style BJJ. Check out Scott’s move of the week:

MMA Team Sparring w/ Jordan

Jordan+Seufzer+MMA

Starting THIS TUESDAY, JULY 7th, join Coach Jordan Seufzer for MMA Sparring 6:40-7:40pm each Tuesday night. We highly encourage those looking to practice mixed martial arts sparring to pencil this in!

Kicking For A Cause!

Oak Creek Saturday Classes

Starting next month on SATURDAY, AUGUST 1st, join 22FITNESS Founder Dan Newberry for Fitness Kickboxing 9:00-10:00am each Saturday morning.

This class is donation driven with proceeds going to Lift For The 22, a nonprofit organization that connects veterans with gym memberships nationwide to improve military transition, and fight veteran suicide. Learn more at liftforthe22.org.

DEDICATION TO GYM CLEANLINESS

Gym cleanliness and personal hygiene is important now more than ever. Because of COVID-19 we ask that members answer a few questions each time you attend class for safety purposes.

When you arrive for your fitness or martial arts class, please make sure that you check in and check out at the front desk. When you arrive for classes you will not be able to wear street shoes inside the training center. Members can train on the mats barefoot after washing their feet in the foot cleaning system, in a pair of socks, or in a pair of shoes that have never been worn outside. We recommend keeping a pair of sandals that have never been worn outside in your gym bag, to wear inside the gym and in the bathrooms. The Dollar Store across the street has flip flops available for just a buck— perfect to keep on hand for the gym.

Members need to have their own boxing gloves for training at the gym. Please bring your own (clean) gloves with you to class, or you can purchase a pair of gloves from us at the gym.

Fitness class members: Please also bring tennis shoes for the duration of the summer, as we sometimes run, warm up or perform drills outside!
Jiu jitsu members: GIs must be washed after each class whether you sweat in it or not. Please take a minute to review our GI washing and maintenance guidelines.

All members: Next time you’re in check out our NEW MERCH up front, including shirts, GIs and hand protection gloves (for added protection under your boxing gloves, and helps keep glove interior fresher!)

We look forward to summer with our wonderful NOVA COMMUNITY. Please direct questions/comments/feedback to info@novagyms.com.

Have a happy and safe 4th of July weekend!

Thank you/OSS!
